Louisburgh and Ballinrobe featured in ‘Leave No-One Behind – LDC’s combating Poverty & Social Exclusion’ Print

On Friday 17th October, the UN Day for the Eradication of Poverty, Minister Ann Phelan launched 'Leave No-One Behind - Local Development Companies combating Poverty and Social Exclusion'.

This booklet features work from 44 local development companies right across the country, showcasing their anti-poverty work.  South West Mayo Development Company has two case studies included; our Louisburgh Social Care project for older people and our involvement in establishing Little Stars Afterschool in Ballinrobe.  Read these studies (p.58-59) and check out all the great work that local development companies carry out nationally to create a more equal Ireland.

The report can be downloaded here (13mb PDF).
