2021 SICAP Bursary to support Part-Time Learners in GMIT (Mayo) Print

South West Mayo Development Company invites applications from SWMDC SICAP target groups to a bursary scheme for current or prospective registered GMIT (Mayo) part-time students.

Who can apply?

Registered GMIT (Mayo) part time learners from SWMDC SICAP target groups

What are the SWMDC SICAP target groups?

  • You must be resident in the former municipal districts of Castlebar & Claremorris i.e., areas around Ballinrobe, Ballyhaunis, Castlebar, Claremorris, Charlestown, Kiltimagh and east Mayo
  • You must be from one, or more, of the following target groups:

Unemployed               New Communities

Low income               People with Disabilities

Roma                    Lone Parents


What is available?

Bursaries are available for a maximum of €500.00 and will be paid directly to GMIT (Mayo) to support course fees.

Please note that shortlisting will apply, and applicants will be called to a video interview on the afternoon of Friday 22nd October. Grants will be awarded based on the information provided in the application form, and at interview, and will be targeted to those most in need in line with SICAP requirements.
