Job Shadowing Opportunity with the Ready to Work Programme & Debbie’s Doo’s Dog Grooming Studio, Balla

As part of Local Development Week 2026, South West Mayo Development Company is delighted to facilitate a job shadowing opportunity with Debbie’s Doo’s Dog Grooming Studio, Balla, on 1st October 2026 for a participant of the Ready to Work Programme.
This placement will provide the participant with a valuable opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the day-to-day operations of a successful local dog grooming and boarding business. Through observing and engaging with workplace activities, the participant will learn about customer care, animal welfare, business operations, and the skills required to work within the pet care industry.
The experience aims to enhance confidence, build employability skills, and provide meaningful exposure to a real working environment. It also supports the goals of the Ready to Work Programme by promoting social inclusion, personal development, and career exploration through practical, hands-on learning opportunities.
