The National Ploughing Championships 2023 are taking place on the 19th to the 21st of September 2023 in Ratheniska, Co.Offaly.

This year the Irish Local Development Network (ILDN) is taking a stand to showcase the work of its 49 member local development companies. SWMDC staff will be in attendance this year as part of the ILDN presence, which promises to be a very interesting and engaging involvement.

Be sure to call in to see us at: Stand 308, Row 18, Block 4

Our Social Farming Development Officer, Deirdre Fahey will also co-host the Social Farming stand which can be found in the Organic Village.

With over 1,700 exhibitors and nearly 300,000 visitors, it has become a cornerstone of Irish rural culture and community engagement.
